Bioremediation of a contaminated soil consists of the recovery of its natural condition by means
of biological processes. This recovery is reached reducing the amount of pollutants down to
acceptable levels for the ecosystem and for human health.

Bioremediation is preferentially executed on the original placement of the soil through natural
biological processes, analogous to those that occur in nature, but in a faster and more efficient way.
